Thorngate Halls is the locale for every type of social occasion, recreational society, educational programme or support group in the community and can offer a comprehensive selection of rooms and suites for hire in its purpose-built premises.

Visitors to the Gosport Community Association express their surprise at the size, quality and range of rooms and the large number of activities contained within the Centre. The Community Centre is fortunate that it has several multi-purpose rooms, several of which can host conferences, meetings, debates, business meetings, private parties, and social events.

BALLROOM

The ideal venue for weddings, private parties, and formal dinner dances. Well equipped with the finest sprung dance floor in the area.

THEATRE

The Theatre is available for private parties and weddings but is also fully equipped to fulfil any drama or musical production, stage lighting, orchestra pit and dressing rooms also available.

GEORGIAN SUITE

This attractive room was previously used as the Members Lounge Bar and has been converted to allow it to be used in conjunction with the Music Room.

Their combined use will make a good venue for small receptions, parties, or social evenings, accommodating up to 70 people.

We can allow the hirer to self-cater for parties such as birthdays, weddings etc subject to certain conditions being met. This suite of rooms overlooks the garden where access can be gained by prior arrangement.

THE MUSIC ROOM

The Music Room is normally used for business meetings, conferences, or club meetings.

Accommodating 50 in comfort this is a much sought-after room overlooking Bury House Garden.

THE GEORGIAN ROOM

When partitioned off from the Music Room, the Georgian Room makes an ideal meeting room for approximately 10 – 15 people.

Being situated on the ground floor of Bury House easy access can be gained to the room.

THE PRIVETT SUITE

This room is a pleasant, light, and airy room with direct access from the car park.

Ideally suited for club and group meetings.

Up to 60 guests can be seated for formal occasions whilst 75 can be accommodated for an informal event.

Bar facilities cannot be provided in this room.

THE BENNETT ROOM

Recently refurbished, situated on the first floor of Bury House, the Bennett Room is an excellent facility for dance and drama groups.

With its spacious floor area, it can accommodate a large dance class.

THE WHITE ROOM

A large first floor meeting or club room situated on the first floor of the Privett Suite, this room will accommodate up to 50 for a conference or meeting. Good access from the car park. Bar facilities cannot be provided in this room.

THE GRAHAM ROOM

A smaller first floor meeting or club room situated on the first floor of the Privett Suite, this room will accommodate up to 30 for a club or group meeting.

Good access from the car park. Bar facilities cannot be provided in this room.
